The Polar fibre optic transmitter and receiver kit is designed to take a Digital Video Source on BNC and transmit it via Fibre optic cable (FC Connection, others available, call for details), to the receiver.
Each unit is colour coded for easy identification (Green for TX, Red for RX).
Each unit also has an OLED screen for diagnostic purposes, this will allow the user to determine the status of the incoming Video Signal, the transmit level of the TX Unit, the receive level at the RX unit (so determining whether the fibre is in good condition and clean), supply voltage, and unit temperature
In addition, it shows a red alarm signal if there are any problems with the incoming signal (both video and fibre). It also stores a log of any faults found, in order to help with fault evaluation, which should enable the user to quickly and easily determine where any issues are, and solve them faster than with conventional products.
The Transmit and receive units also incorporate a Reclocker, which enables the device to recover a video signal from a cable of much greater length than usually expected. This function can be disabled by the user.
Power requirements is 7-17V DC via 4 pin xlr connectors,
